Evening Land-Tempest Pinot Noir

More "Morey" than "SRH". Assertive tannins and lots of whole cluster/stems makes this an intriguing Pinot from California. Recent blind tasting of 8 x 2010 top Pinot noir from all over the world this came out #1 for me. Complete wine.

First vintage produced from Bloom's Field.

Very fruit forward but delicious. They definitely didn't get old world Pinot, I think that was the intention but climate would not allow

Loving the Sandhi PN from the Evening Lands vineyard. Will have to try the Hirsch Pinot Noir next time.

This has settled down nicely since the last bottle in 2015 and seems ready to go. Very good SB Pinot from the vineyard now known as La Côte. Part of my “Open that oversized bottle week”.

Smooth and easy drinking. Not a ton of flavor.

Classic Pinot. Soft on the tongue but full of flavor.

It’s remarkably focussed and rich in mineral detail as one couldn't expect a new world wine be. Glorious richness of fruit balanced by high but gentle, integrated acidity. Expressive perfume of undergrowth, plums, floral and chalk. Silky as matured Chambolle.

Dark, clear, pure. Very good and 13.5 ABV, but profile is probably a Syrah lover's Pinot.
