I was surprised at how deep this was, definitely more ripe than I prefer though. Taken in context, it's a very good example of Carneros pinot.

Ripe plums and raisins...dark chocolate and some savory notes. Unlike a typical pinot...absolutely fantastic!

Woah a little kick there at the end. Nice little bite for Pinot. Alcohol high. Wife usually likes Pinot says too bitter for her.
