Pear, applesauce, lemon candy, ripe peaches, firecrackers, hint of white pepper on the nose. Nice creamy mouthfeel with pear, golden plum, candied lemon peel, powdered ginger on the palate. Needs a bit of time to warm up from the fridge and get some air after opening to become really great, but still going strong on the second day. — 9 months ago
Aromas were slight muted even after it was decanted with notes of blood orange, pear, smoked butter and an herbal hint. Air helps but nose stays a little compact. Palate is a touch soft on opening but gains focus with an hour of air. Pear and pear skin with mineral zest plus a hint of tangerine are the major flavors. Longish finish is smoky and frantic. Certainly not as exciting or vibrant as my last bottle. Not sure how to evaluate further development. — 2 years ago
14,8% di Alcol
22 g/l zucchero residuo
6 g/l acidità totale
Pinot Grigio solidissimo
— 3 years ago
Gorgeous Chambolle more on the powerful and tight side right now, needed air to show the gorgeous red and dark fruit, impressive texture, silky and enveloping, balanced and needs more time for the next bottles but great potential. — 2 years ago

This was served during my annual WWC hosting. Typical format of sparkler, three whites, four reds, one dessert, all served blind.
Marcel Deiss’s son is the winemaker. 50 Pinot Gris/40 Gewurtztraminer/ 10 Riesling. 100% whole cluster pressed for the Riesling and Gewurtztraminer, partially de-stemmed Pinot Gris. Macerated for 9 months in different amphorae.
I don’t know how you attach a score to this. Undoubtedly an orange wine, which I normally don’t drink. In color, it’s almost a pink tinge of orange. Aromatically, this could be Alsatian Muscat. Incredibly floral with a perception of sweetness. Strawberries romanoff, kiwi, orange blossom up front but the fruit fades to a more mineral/less sweet profile with great acidity. Very unique and worth seeking out more. — 9 months ago
