What do you get when you cross Treehouse Vineyard fruit and the Assistant Winemaker to TRB at Mending Wall? The answer is this Pinot that is absolutely stunning.
The nose and flavor profile reminds me quite a bit of the Occidental Ridge Pinot from Rivers Marie; bing cherry, dark cherry, a bit of cola, orange zest, citrus and pine; riper fruit but still crisp, rounded tannins and a good little bit of acidity. Really a smooth drinker overall. This has improved over the past year and is a stellar QPR.

Got the last bottle of this at the Treehouse at Norwood’s in NSB. They haven’t had a wine shop in about 10 years but their cellar is still deep with what was on stock when the wine shop closed. Excellent eastern Mediterranean Cab from Galilee. “King David’s Vineyard” 2011 Vintage. — 7 months ago
