One of the best wines I’ve ever drank. Amazing color and flavor profile. Well balanced and full bodied. And I found it at Trader Joe’s I think. Definitely will get several bottles for my cellar. — 7 years ago

Don’t brush off Merlot‘s. Especially if those Merlot’s are from Yountville, in Napa Valley. The climate in Yountville is particularly well-suited for grape growing. It sits in a sweet spot where it receives warm, sunny days perfect for ripening grapes, while cool evening breezes and fog from San Pablo Bay help too.
Let this wine open up and breathe for 2+ hours and you’ll be delighted with a similar complexity to a Cabernet, with Oakey notes and bright raspberry and plum flavors
An excellent choice from the same area as Stag Leap vineyards

Yum! Great cab franc from Trader Joes (not necessarily a "great" Cab Franc but great in that it's from TJ and really really good) — 8 months ago

Smells jammy, peppery spicy and acidic. Nice experience. One or two glass limit or heart burn surely. — 7 years ago
Grapey, fruity, full floral palate, no bite, very delicious — 7 years ago
The aroma is spectacular! A fragrance of slightly candied lemon and lemon curd welcome you in followed by hits of lemon grass, crisp green apple, and a slight minerality. The mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy with initial flavors of lemon, lemon curd, sun baked apple, and a slight creaminess. A bit a residual sweetness balanced out this wine but the acidity still shines. Charles Shaw has done it again with another spectacular wine! For $3 my only question is, should I get only a case next time or two? - Ryan, this one is for you! Cheers 🍷 — 7 years ago
