Ripe raspberries and cherries verging on jam. Anise as well as toasty, smokey oak with some vanilla.

Supple on the palate with good balancing acidity and tannin with sweet oak notes layered in. Alcohol is more noticable than I would like.

Ripe but elegant Rioja with excellent oak integration. Excellent with lamb loin chops and Manchego. — 5 years ago
