Cà de’ Rocchi (Tinazzi)

Ca de Rocchi La Bastia Amarone Della Valpolicella Corvina

After 15 years in the bottle, I thought it was time and was I ever right! Perfectly aged! The tannins have been tamed but still give this classic Amarone the wonderful fruit flavors with no bitterness whatsoever and absolutely delicious to drink on its own. Full bodied, great nose and mouth feel while the taste just lingers and lingers within the whole mouth! This would be awesome with beef, pork, or any indigenous foods from Verona. — 5 months ago

Tinazzi

Collezione di Famiglia Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2016

Tinazzi, collezione di famiglia, valpolicella

Almond, cherry, blackberry. This is nice, fresh, young and inviting. The palate is very well balanced. Nice acid drive and and a super soft mouthfeel like silk. A big bright cherry is dancing all along until a tiny drying effect in the rear, powering a long and nice finish with cherry, a tiny bitter note and that slightly drying effect. This could be the best valpolicella simple version I've had so far but it's probably the most matured I've had and the tannins are now well integrated making it a delicious wine. Great effort!
