Loner The Mysterious Charm of Old Ruins John Sebastiano Vineyard Pinot Noir

Delectable unable to provide the proper name. The actual name is “The Loner, the mysterious charm of old ruins” from Santa Rita Hills AVA. Perhaps, one of the most memorable Pinot Noir from this AVA. It’s so lively and energetic on the nose with ample of red fruit at all times. Although, it’s progressive as you essentially will taste the earthy and sort of Black Forest immediately, it actually shows its finesse and generosity providing medley of berries after you acclimate your palate with a second sip. It’s ridiculous smooth and unbelievably balanced!!! — 10 months ago

Loner Favonius Chardonnay

Not the W10, Better than expected, its the loner Favonius Mag, definitely a 2nd day wine. The pith & grapefruit really hit you on day one.

94The Wine Advocate
...expressive pink grapefruit, guava and pineapple notes, plus suggestions of baking bread, marzipan, ginger and honeycomb...medium-bodied palate...elegant and perfumed...nice creamy texture, with loads of tropical fruit and savory flavors, finishing with great length.

93Vinous / IWC
Super-ripe apricot, orchard fruit, yellow flowers and new oak all blossom in this creamy, super-expressive Chardonnay. Large-scaled and rich...

93Wine Enthusiast
...mandarin orange pith character and a warming sandalwood spice. It's very fresh...bright on the palate, with pink grapefruit, squeezed lemon and lime skin toward the finish.

92Jeb Dunnuck
...notes of crushed citrus, lemon curd, and orchard fruits, and is juicy, vibrant, and crisp on the palate...notable purity, and a great finish.

It could be so many things. The influence of the cheese I was eating with the wine this time? It was a great triple cream. Temperature - I chilled this one quite a bit before drinking. Storage - my cellaring is far from ideal. I really don’t know.

Loner R12-b John Sebastiano Vineyard Pinot Noir

A magnificent Pinot from the Santa Rita Hills. Matthias casts his magic and the results are phenomenal. I would swear this was a Syrah, but not a drop. A perfect melody of bright berry notes together with deep, dark fruit that’s almost savory. A bargain at any price. @Delectable Wine this is the Backseat Freestyle. — 5 years ago
