Very pleasant. Opens nicely. Great with appetizers. Buying again — 6 days ago
This has got to be one of my first 2018s to open, and while I’d normally refrain even if for only a bit longer, this producer has piqued my interest too much. Accolades are great and all, but many fellow winemakers have spoken highly of Dan’s project, which is enough reason to open and see how this is showing.
Normally for my palate, Hyde Chardonnay’s show a lot of bright stone fruit with high acidity (ex: Aubert’s Larry Hyde & Sons...plenty of acidity, lighter style, big fruit up front). Dan has taken Hyde’s fruit and put it front and center. Everything about this wine is about the vineyard. Crystalline and pure. On the nose, it is very ripe without being boozy...grilled lemon, lemon-lime tart, even some kiwi, with floral honeysuckle and sea salt. The palate reveals such an intense expression of the fruit with hardly any notice of oak. This has a strong mineral core and high acidity type backbone, but the mid palate and finish show plenty of ripe lemon, powdered lemon bar tart type flavors. 12.7ABV! Nothing sweet, rich or flabby about this wine. Not sure how it ages, but very enjoyable. — 20 days ago

So this wasn’t TOO heavy on the extraction and oakiness. Pretty nice blend of fresh and developing red and black fruit, relatively restrained oak notes (at least compared to the last Napa red I had). But personally I feel like Napa winemakers in general rely too much on over-toasted oak. Finish was shorter than I expected but overall not bad. Might be better with a little more bottle aging — 14 days ago
Such a beautiful, fruity, spicy, earthy, savory, gamy, Southern Rhône blend from Château Pégau... 🍇 🍷
I love that this wine represents a free expression from the winemaker, who pursued this wine in an unrestricted manner (it’s a Vin de France), given the vineyard location and blends of varieties and vintages involved. It’s made organically.
It’s a non-classified wine which opens the door to creativity and ingenuity. The winemaker @laurenceferaud referred to this wine as a “little brother” of #chateauneufdupape and my goodness I adore it 🥰 👏👏👏
I bought this wine at @sunfishcellars and attended the wine tasting with winemakers Laurence Feraud and @justineferaud moderated by @hoythill2011 🙏🙏🙏
Plan Pégau, Red Blend, including Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, among others. Vintages include 2014-16.

A very easy drinking Shiraz. A little peppery and jammy. Would order anytime with Italian. — 8 days ago
The perfect balance texture, aroma, light sweet and refreshing. From the first taste absolutely love it. No need to let it breathe. it is perfect.. Love the notes of honeysuckle and white flowers. I love the peach and pineapple flavors. It’s just pretty, and really leaves you wanting more. And they think the mineral soil‘s from Washington really makes this wine obsessive. Medium sweet — 22 days ago
(French) colombard used to be the most planted white variety in Israel. used as the white blend workhorse. lost it's popularity a few decades ago and now being used again.
most winemakers consider it a fresh not to be aged crisp week day quality sipper.
this is my second try, the other one was ok-ish.
apricot, peach, grated 🍋peel and a hint of nuttines. maybe a guava slight memory.
balanced and interesting.
medium + 🎯
had it on it's own by the pool while vacationing in the dead sea desert area.
