Opulente Temecula Valley Grenache Blend 2013

Aged rather beautifully in my wine fridge over the past couple of years. Not much fruit and floral notes on the nose. A bot of wax and leather on the nose. Some dried fruits on the palate with soft tannins. Hints of strawberry jam on the finish. No need to decant but let it sit in the glass for 15-20 mins. — 12 days ago

All star stuff. This Rhône style wine shows restraint. Impeccably balaned and focused not blousy at all. It is dedicated to purity. So nice! — 9 days ago

Hamilton Russell Vineyards

Hemel-en-Aarde Valley Pinot Noir

Big, broad, brooding style. Masses of red fruit, with strong savoury/mushroom/meaty notes. The palate is bursting with cherry and strawberry, but in a big style. Not shy. Earthy. Burgundian structure with real depth and earthy appeal. — a month ago
