Wine color is starting to show the browning edges of oxidation but still has that robust purple garnet hue. Aroma is complex betraying the heavy alcohol with a spicy hint of heat. But carried with all that is the peppery, tobacco, plummy cherry notes of the grape. Drinks magnificently. Loads of jammy fruit without a heavy sweetness. Definitely leans towards a medium body with a nice sour cherry acidity to round its finish. Oak is present but only to support never to stand out in front. — 12 hours ago
