High QPR! Goes well with many foods but especially any simple Italian fare. One of my go to Italian wines. It’s nice to go beyond Tuscany or Piedmonte. — 3 months ago
Even after a few years of bottle age this is very tannic. And this blend only has smaller part Segrantino! Would benefit from more cellering, for sure. It’s rough but feels very well made. — 2 months ago
Needed a bit of time to open, but went from light and earthy to velvety and complex! — 4 months ago

Well balanced with med acidity. Ripe cherry that lingers on the pallet. Great wine with our red sauce pasta dinner.. A Joe Godas selection — 2 months ago
Third course at Bacchus. Braised beef short ribs, caramelized mirepoix, house made pappardelle. A fantastic pairing. — 4 months ago
The 2018 Montefalco Rosso captivates with a spicy mix of autumnal cherry sauce and plums complemented by hints of camphor and minty herbs. This is fleshy and fruity on the palate, yet balance is nicely maintained by juicy acidity, as a chalky mineral stain slowly saturates. Subtle tannins linger through the mentholated finale, as hints of licorice and bitter cherry taper off. (Eric Guido, Vinous, November 2022)

2011 was ready to go. First montefalco I’ve had with mellowed tannins - huge nose and smooth delivery — a month ago
