Sharp and clean with lemon peel, sweetgrass, nectarine, and mineral. Soft and round with a lingering lemon peel finish. — 3 years ago
Pale straw yellow and fragrant of mango, pine, and sea air. It’s luminous and shimmering on the palate, with yellow melon and Meyer lemon, sweetgrass and meadow herbs. Made from 100 percent Pecorino grown in the hills of Abruzzo, on Italy’s eastern flank, in medium clay soils and trained on a pergola. Pecorino means “little sheep,” a nod to the storyline, real or imagined, that sheep are prone to nibble these grapes as they perambulate. Pair it with fish, poultry, bagna cauda, crudité, or—why not?—Pecorino. 13% abv | $16 (sample) — 7 years ago
Wafting sweetgrass and coriander..
Great structure, and has more of the ripened fruit style than the austere. Plum, rhubarb, wild strawberry, cassis. Wrapping up with solid acidity to wood. Heat shining through, as this was a superbly ripe vintage. I will always gravitate to an bottle that has a pair of Papel Keys.. — 3 years ago

Elegant and finely-detailed aromatics suggest pear, beeswax, honeyed apple, nut, and sweetgrass. It’s lusciously silky on the palate, like moonlit satin, but there’s also great focus, articulation, and clarity. Terrific with food. Delicious. 100% barrel-fermented, simultaneous primary and malolactic. Nine months of sur-lie aging with monthly bâtonnage. 13.8% abv | $30 (sample) — 8 years ago
