2015 vintage. This estate is owned these days by Grands Millésimes de France (also owner of Beychevelle), 50/50 owned by the big French Castel group and the Japanese Suntory. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Flirting with overripeness, but still with just enough acidity to keep the balance, this is a seductive crowdpleaser that lacks a bit of complexity. Abv. 14%. — 3 years ago
Very nice. Light beginning, heavy mid to after. Feel tannins, full body and quite “round - smooth carved edges” impression but fruity easy to drink lightness that makes it sticky. Toward Merlot? 65% Petit Verdot, 24% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. Need to try again. — 2 months ago
I like umeshu, but usually it is a little too cloyingly sweet for me. I like Choya's black sugar one.... This umeshu is fantastic. Probably my new favorite. It isn't as sweet, and the whiskey flavor creeps in after the plum starts to fade. Oishii! — 3 years ago

Enjoyed but did not love. It has a bitter finish which remains in all the cocktail variations I tried. It has a rough mouthfeel when alone. It’s a bit different but not my preferred style. — 9 months ago
