Purchased at their Oregon winery. Pale yellow with a golden tinge, excellent clarity. Pineapple and herb notes in nose. Pineapple, herb and lemon-orange flavors, creamy lees finish, light to moderate skin astringency. Mandarin orange and slightly mineral aftertaste. Good acidity, rounded mouthfeel. Tasty fruit forward style but no discernible cat’s pee note if you expect that from a Marlborough Sauvignon blanc. Intensity of fruit flavors change over time, with orange-mandarin flavors receding somewhat after two hours. — 9 days ago
This is an explosion (frenzy?) of Sauvignon blanc flavors not usually all found together in my experience. Distinct citrus, melon, grassy, and stone fruit flavors are melded into a delightful whole. Peachy-ness lingers. Light bodied, medium alcohol, pale straw-green. Label states it is a blend of wines from selected vineyards. They’ve done a very nice job. Easy to drink with nice complexity. — 11 days ago
Light, with a subtle aroma and flavor of passion fruit with a crisp finish of green apple. Wonderful chilled and would be great for a warm day or evening. — 8 days ago
Color is so light yellow green tone, almost transparent and bubble. Nose of roasted nuts, canned peach, ripe pineapple, honey and flowering note, and a bit Sprite note. Taste is bubbly, zesty, a bit tinkling spice, ripe fruit and honey note again. Slightly sweet and a bit minerals. Very clean and some more acidity backbone. After taste is light yet refreshing. I am wondering why the ratings from the community is literally too harsh. — 17 days ago
Выпито 20.04.19 в Пильнице с друзьями Даши- Аней и Валентином. Аня сделала прекрасфокпччо и лепешки. Закусывали manchego и taleggio. Нежное и минеральное. Уверенных 9.0. — 5 days ago
The nose is a little shy with just a touch of funk. Muted; lemon, lime, white peach, apricot, grapefruit with pith, cut grass, hints of flint, light volcanic minerals, beautiful soft chalkiness, vanilln, oak notes and spring flowers.
The palate shows some age and softening. This bottling might need some food to really make it shine. The body is round and softer than their 2018 1865 bottling. Understated lemon, lime, white peach, apricot, grapefruit with pith, touch of cut grass, hints of flint, a little green bean, light volcanic minerals, beautiful soft chalkiness, vanilln, oak notes and spring flowers. Nice high acidity and a beautiful understated finish with the exception of more pronounced minerality on the long set.
Photos of, an aerial photos of the vineyards with designations, branded oak barrel, a bottle in their tasting room Alnwick Castle Constantia of 1791 or 1809 from the Duke of Northumberland and tasting lounge area. — 3 days ago
The nose reveals; unstated tropical fruits, cut grass, lemon, lime, fruit blossoms, vanilla, cream, green bean, saline, touch of sea spray with yellow & white flowers.
The body is medium but, feels rich and creamy. Tropical fruits, cut grass, banana peel, lemon, lime, white peach, fruit blossoms, vanilla, cream, green bean, saline, touch of sea spray with yellow & white flowers. The acidity is excellent. The finish is well balanced, rich, polished and gorgeous.
Photos of; a professional photo of their hillside vineyard in their prime growing season; which is late December through March, old basket press in the tasting room, the rocky & fine granitic soils that vary their through their Estate and tasting area in their large oak vat room. — 3 days ago
Very light and fresh wine. Made from single vineyard. First winemaker to do sauv Blanc in new Zealand.
Not super grass/green pepper and not too high in acidity - overall much more time than most sauv blancs. — 6 days ago
Una acidez muy escandalosa, vibra en mi paladar, me hace ensalivarme y me gusta ese tacto vocal... Delicioso!! — 14 hours ago
