Speyside. This one went through oloroso sherry casks. Nicely balanced with the fun of the cherry. — 4 years ago

Samuel Smith's Organic Pale Ale is a nice pint. Amber coloured with a good but not over frothy bread. Bready, malty, and with a hint of caramel complimented by light carbonation.
A good traditional pale ale from one of England's oldest and finest brewers. — 3 years ago

Off-the-wall Blanc de Blancs face off.
South Africa vs New Mexico.
Graham Beck's 2011 Premier Cuvée comes from the best blocks in Robertson with half being fermented in barrel. Baked Granny Smith's, toasted almond, and a yeast component that resembles something from the origin of the méthode. Excellent finish that has depth and complexity, while still being bone dry. — 9 years ago
@Mike Smith's Syrahs with a couple years on them are just stellar. The hard part is keeping them tucked away that long! — 10 years ago

A little spicey, not as smooth because of the cognac barrels. Slight fruit, a little bitter on aftertaste. No peat. $85 at target (a bit pricey) might get it if it were in the $50s. — 4 years ago

Excellent, crisp cider. Went well with popcorn. But what doesn’t? — 8 years ago
Mmm.. single vineyard Syrah named after Charles Smith's cat.. and for good reason - this thing purrrrrs. The nose is awesome and screams old world Syrah - roasted herbs, jalapeño, black licorice, mushroom, brambly black fruit and mint, all enveloped by waves of hickory smoke and charcoal. Seductively smooth and inviting on the palate. Not overtly heavy, but packs just the right amount of punch with some soft minerality and refreshing acidity. Great wine, well worth the money. — 9 years ago

I would also add flower, vanilla and fruity scents (maybe white peach). — 3 years ago
