Selah Wines

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Inky in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose and full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and very fruity.

Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, dried fruits, herbs, cedar, vanilla, chocolates, dark coffee, cola, licorice, spices, light tobacco and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and extracted. Fruit forward, elegant and inviting. Complex and nicely balanced.

This 10 year old still feels young, but is already delicious, even by itself.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.

Drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Really enjoyed the complexity on the nose. Engaging and interesting.

A great sipping wine that paired nicely with food too.

A small production of only 3,400 bottles.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$100.

Floral, crazy terpene-perfumey, baby powder, white pepper. White
Whipped cream on white nectarine. Creamy but assertive carbonation. Lovelyish.
