Also consumed a few weeks ago, Gerhard Reisacher was really hitting it out of the park with his wines from the early 2000s. This one was still going strong (although I suspect it's a bit past peak). Just a hint of amber on the rim, the wine is exhibiting plenty of fruit along with secondary aromas of leather and dried cassis. Started to fade toward the end of the bottle, but just a terrific example of a cab from the Rutherford bench. — 9 years ago
Wow. For those of you who remember Delectus wines, this is the first vintage of Gerhard Reisacher’s new operation in Knight’s Valley...and it is a winner. Intense aromas of cassis, black currant, and bittersweet chocolate, this has a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet and perfectly integrated tannins, and a long, elegant finish. Easily on par with the best wines he ever made at Delectus, if you liked those wines then you’ve got to try this! — 4 years ago

Tad young. Fruit needs a little time to mellow still. — 9 months ago
