Recas Castle

Cramele Recaş

Recas DOC Pinot Grigio

Enjoyed this. Especially for $8/bottle. Very mild. Hubby says it has a chlorine note which was off putting for him. I get chlorine on the palette but hey, that just tastes like summer to me. Doesn’t have the acidity like most Pinot grigios. Closer to a Cali pinot Grigio than an Italian. — 13 days ago

Selene Feteascā Neagra

Delicious! This is by far the best Romanian wine we’ve tried so far. Let it open up and see how the flavors and aromas change. Great wine! — 3 years ago

Castello di Amorosa

Il Brigante Red Blend

Tastes like the wines I had in Tuscany. Bought it at the winery. Had a wine tasting there with all their wines. Well worth the trip. Beautiful castle. 2017 vintage. — 17 days ago

Castello di Amorosa

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Although this is just one of there standard Cabs and not single vineyard, we thought it was fantastic and my oldest bottle from the Castle. Rich ruby with aromas of blueberry, plum, and cedar. On the bud, it is smooth and full bodied with berries and spice. The finish is long. Went great with our filets and rosemary potatoes. — 6 months ago

Porongurup Riesling 2016

Tasted blind, presented by Sue Bell. I picked Riesling, Australian and missed Porongurups WA. A brilliant Riesling made by Rob Diletti at Castle Rock WA. Lovely aromatics of Musk and Bath Talc. At 5 years the acid had settled and the citrus was going towards stone fruit. Really enjoyed this. — 3 years ago
