Semi-sweet on the front end, smoky finish, making the barreling and age a defining characteristic. Brown-red color and nutty, caramel notes. Exceptional tawny port (as it should be) — 7 months ago
Inky big time black & blue fruit but only after several hours in decanter. This has some stuffing, great extract and tons of secondary notes like tobacco leaf, mushroom & freshly turned earth, dried herbs, etc. graceful on palate, needed some acidity / pliable tannins, smells big, tastes med (-) but delicious regardless. — a year ago
Least favorite of the total wine Portugal tries. Too much leather and Tobacco Matt liked. Got better as it opened. — 4 months ago
Deep purple in color; blueberries, plums, and dried flowers on the nose; medium plus acidity; high tannins, so tannic it's chewy; tastes like raspberries, violets, crushed gravel, and wet slate with a long finish. Well balanced flavors. I love it. — 8 months ago
Solid for $10. Slight effervescence and malo. Tastes like a dry cider. — 2 years ago
Deep ruby in color; plums, cassis, and graphite on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberries, black cherries, and wet gravel with a long finish. I really like this wine. — 5 months ago
Enjoyed this Kurt wine from Portugal. Would get again. — 9 months ago
Once again this is vinho Verde at its very best. Pear, cantaloupe, chalk. There's that mineral thing on the nose that tells you it's going to be great 😊 the palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, a good width and mouthfeel, some pear and slightly lemony notes, before a long and fresh finish that goes on for a while. Why is everyone overlooking Vinho Verde? — 2 years ago
