Dark, brooding, yet quite elegant as well. Dark cherries, a touch of cassis and kirsch, some earthy aromas, a whiff of wood (well integrated), a hint of roast. Very enticing.
On the palate this is rich, with a creamy mouthfeel, great purity of fruit. Impeccably balanced with juicy acidity & juicy tannins which frame the richness very well. The 14% alc is unnoticeable.
A juicy finish with a savoury, herby note. Not my favorite style of wine but this really nice, elegant & dangerously drinkable. Yum! — 4 years ago
