Château Lafleur-Gazin is situated between Château Lafleur and Château Gazin, and its immediate neighbor is Petrus - I bet that’s one hell of a neighborhood potluck. Currant, cocoa, fig, graphite, and cedar, with a bitter coffee streak that runs through it. — 8 years ago
Best cab at the potluck barbecue. Spice and black cherry. Dark color but light on the palate with long smooth finish. — 10 years ago
Schäfer Fröhlich always makes great wine no matter what level. This Qualitätswein from a tough vintage does not disappoint a winner in my recent Club W tasting. Slightly bitter like many wines I like very slight petrol notes. Close to fermented pineapple according to Mimi our host at our dinner potluck. Here you go the women knows how to describe wine and has had fermented pineapple in past. — 11 years ago

Red Douro blend recommended at Portugalia. Supposed to be a wine you see on many tables in Portugal. Very nice. Everyone liked it at our potluck.
On sale at Portugalia for 12.99.

Fantastic white, smooth and easy to enjoy. Slightly sweet but dry. Some may say too simple but for $10-15 range this is a lovely white to have everyday. Great for potluck or big parties when you don't want to bring your best bottle nor through cheap stuff. — 11 years ago
Great with charcuterie and cheese - slightly funky, almost like a sherry. Brought it to a potluck and everyone love it! — 12 years ago

Potluck dinner at Butch. A surprisingly balanced complex low alcohol (13ABV) for NAPA Cab. Bright dark fruit notes on nose that carried over to lively lifted palate and good finish. 17 years! — 2 years ago
