Tenuta Pierazzuoli

Chianti Montalbano Sangiovese 2016

This is a surprisingly serious wine. I was expecting cherries and bright acids, but what I got was earthy, iodiney, balsamic notes on top of the dark cherries. Very soft and nicely balanced, with clingy flavors. I think my brother may have given this to me, and if so, thanks! If not, then I made a good purchase at some point. — 16 days ago

Riserva Chianti Montalbano Sangiovese Blend 2015

Wish I had more of this one. Nothing fancy, just really good. Medium jammy body. Tart and sour cherries, plum and tobacco. Easy drinking with or without food. Will grab more if I ever see again. — 3 months ago

Totally Italian. Approachable yet pronounced tannins that smooth off with air. Lovely earth and fruit aromatics. Carmignano is my jam. — 4 years ago
