Clear, deep garnet colour. Clean, pronounced black fruit and cedar aromas. Dry, medium acidity and tannins that are very balanced. Medium bodied with long finish. Black fruits with hints of cassis, mocha and lovely oak flavours. An outstanding wine considering the price. Went very well with bbq rib eye. — 5 years ago
Same as one bandol we brought back from France (from the bandol wine museum). This is 09 and that was 11. Found this at Pemberton farms. It was excellent. A little more acidic and Tangier perhaps than other bandol, but still wonderfully gummy tannins that complement the lighter side nicely — 5 years ago

From Pemberton farms. Favorite rioja I can remember. Nicely balanced not overwhelming — 5 years ago
Quality wine, should have left it cellared but couldn’t wait as usual. Great example of a WA Bordeaux style blend. Fruit up front and balanced on the end. — 6 years ago

See previous note from January 2024. Sous Bois, Forest floor to the max. WA better known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz but Pemberton produces a good Pinot Noir. More savoury than fruit driven. — 2 months ago
