Buen Riesling del Mosela, de
un buen productor como es Daniel Vollenweider. Los “Wolfer”, representan lo que sería un vino “Village” de la zona/pueblo de Wolf en Mosela. Este 2011, catado en 2020; presenta color dorado pálido, aun con algún destello verdoso. Potente nariz al inicio de Hidrocarburos, que se va suavizando y da paso a flores blancas, nectarinas y frutas tropicales. Persisten las notas a Petróleo o Keroseno.
En boca es un vino vertical, seco, gran acidez pero equilibrada, mineralidad. Corto. — 6 years ago

un buen productor como es Daniel Vollenweider. Los “Goldgrube”, representan lo que sería un Grand Cru. Este 2012, catado en 2020; presenta bonito color dorado intenso. Potencia media en nariz, al inicio muchísimo de Hidrocarburos, que se va suavizando y da paso a flores blancas, nectarinas y frutas tropicales. En boca es un vino vertical, seco, con estructura, muy fresco, gran acidez pero equilibrada, mineralidad. Largo recorrido. Marida muy bien con Tartar de Salmón. — 6 years ago

We went camping close to Los Olivos, CA ⛺️. But the goal was also to visit Union Sacre in Paso Robles on our way to Big Sur. And lucky for us we tasted with a Frenchmen XAVIER ARNAUDIN the winemaker all by ourselves. This guy is a lot of fun! All his whites were excellent and this Riesling is a standout! 20$. Rich 12.4% plenty of acid for balance. Quite herbaceous, tart and salty you almost taste the Santa Barbara sea breeze coming through. Honey melon Meyer lemon hint of mandarine waxy. Some Pro? gave this a 8.5 I cannot agree. For a Cali Riesling this is unique and better than most Tautomers. Highly recommended I will buy more and left with a case of whites when I left the tasting room - a winemaker to watch! — 6 years ago

The 2017 Chardonnay is soft, supple and absolutely delicious. Light tropical notes, lemon confit, white flowers and bright acids give the 2017 striking nuance as well as character. The Foxglove Chardonnay is built on a core of fruit from Los Alamos, with a touch of fruit from Paso Robles, vinified and aged in steel, with no malolactic fermentation.
