Had the most structure of all the villages. Savory delicious. — 8 years ago
Serious potential, if not as balanced or pretty as the 2014. Certainly more dense, inky and tannic than its predecessor. Showing vibrant sour cherry, raspberry, fresh cut purple flowers, spice cake, Asian spice and licorice. Tremendous mineral tension. Feels a bit extracted now but sure to be a winner. — 6 years ago

Haven’t had a villages in a long long time but this is a wonderful way to revisit: dark, dark black fruit flavor profile with a mid palate that bites back. Sure, the finish is short but for 10&, it’s a bit feral & a no brainer. Rosenthal book. — 6 years ago
