Birthday Wine at Octave in Bangkok. Some easy drinking wine — 5 years ago
Dark berry fruits, oak, nice tannic structure, black pepper galore. Very nice. — 5 years ago
Not bad but a tad bit too high on alcohol for me to enjoy it — 6 years ago
BlairAthol 27 (Octave Premium) it’s got a sweet, brown sugar, raisin nose. It’s hot on the palate. It fills the mouth but has some heat on it. Finish goes for a while mainly due to the heat. When that fades after the first taste it’s rich with that brown sugar, little bit of wood but good flavor. — a month ago

This is re-casked (believe correct term) in an Octave and therefore only 60 bottles available. I and the tasting group did not taste some of the flavor profile the bottler saw - pear/citrus and found it more wood/dried fruits/caramel/toffee. This one was the darkest brown if the group and I found the most flavorful. It’s power at 51.8%. Adding a drop of water I thought really changed the profile and made it run hotter for me. The finish on this lasts well past a minute. I usually don’t notice the finish for that long but this one stayed there for a whole and made so you didn’t forget it. Might be best if the night or at least tied with Blackadder. — 4 years ago
The 2015 Pepper Bridge Merlot is an excellent bottling which was sourced from the Seven Hills, Pepper Bridge and Octave Vineyards. The Merlot has 14% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec blended in. This shows perfumed red fruits and toasty oak on the nose. The palate has a smooth texture and lovely mouthfeel. Bright, mouthwatering acidity connects with red cherry cordial, black tea, and blackberry pie flavors. While this is rich it also displays notable tension. Enjoy this delicious effort over the next decade. Drink 2019-2029- 92 — 6 years ago

Terrific balance and depth to the 2018. Need to understand how this unbelievable combination of eight grapes yields such a Bordeaux-like character. Really amazing. . — 13 days ago
