This medium bodied, dry wine has hints of berry and vanilla. Too expensive to share so enjoy on your own! — 5 years ago
Photo is of the 2018 Petite Syrah. We loved this one! — 5 years ago
Delicious. A nose is full of a blackberry and a leather. I should mention, this wine needs a decantation. A palate is complex. For the first glass I thought that it’s chaotic: a strong alcohol, “noisy” fruits and tannins (that’s why decantation is needed). But after some time it presents itself with a good balance between tannins and fruits. The finish is long and spicy (a pepper). — 6 years ago
Big fan of orange wine. Bergamot tea notes abound, tasted like an ancient ritual. — 8 years ago
Tablas Creek has long been one of my favorite Paso Robles producers. From the care they put into their vineyards—biodynamic farming, noisy sheep, a rambunctious trio of winery dogs, and a resident shepherd—the good folks at Tablas turn out elegant wines that are nuanced, superbly balanced and long aging. For the price, they're just that much more attractive. The 2016 Patelin de Tablas is fresh, light, convivial. Lemon curd and yellow apple lifted by a starburst of white mineral acid that courses through the center. — 9 years ago
AMAZING BORDEAUX that’s still able to shine, decanted, after a few hours of opening! In ritual notes of damp leather, subdued / dried fruits and felt past its prime. 2 hours later - completely blossomed into this robust, aged, beautiful almost “fruit forward” masterpiece with almost olive overtones. I’m sure it was a great bottle 10, 20, even 30 years ago - but now it’s almost better as it’s transformed into this subtle, wonderful wine which was able to hold its own against aged cheese and roasted beef. A true treasure I’m glad we uncorked!! (BTW - cork was LONG - get your longest screw out for this one)!!! — 4 years ago
If I was a man of greater means, this tasting would represent an annual ritual of sampling. As it was, we got a one time peek into the upward climb of such intensity and focus- all coiled violets and crushed black fruits. It’s so coiled it almost snarls in the glass. Part 5 of the first half of guys weekend. — 5 years ago
Continuing our daily quarantine ritual of enjoying something from the “cellar” for happy hour, this is the best so far (out of many very good bottles). Simply heavenly: perfectly balanced depth and brightness. — 6 years ago
Deep red color, almost uniform. Really changed 30-45 minutes after decanting. Would recommend a sip or two at open and then waiting. Dark, fresh red fruits but I got this great woody mineral flourish immediately following the fruit. Like on top of it. Long and noisy finish. Great stuff. Plus acidity and medium-ish body. And a chewy tannin end that just hits so well. This is a gorgeous wine. Love this cru Beaujolais. Going to (try to) sit on what I have left for a year or more...yes I had to end with a joke. Post-script: first time understanding how tannin can be “chewy”. — 7 years ago
Like the sound of a bell through fog. Very diana, huntress— not too noisy, like a perfect roast chicken — 8 years ago

This wine is super refined and elegant. The amount of acid was noticeable at this point - and the tannins are strong even after a four plus hour decant. This is one for the long haul. It was cool to taste this side by side with the ‘12 vintage as well as next to the ‘12 regular Estate. All so different yet all so good. Such wonderful wines it’s sad they’re no longer making them. — 9 years ago

Noisy. Crisp and crinkle-y. Soda sounds that taper to cellophane. Ruby grapefruit-guava juice opacity and color with a nest of bubbles clinging to the sediment below. Quick flash of spitting white, then planar save for the razor bumps of isolated bubbling. Sweet apricot and nectarine entertain wild orange blossom and grapefruit bitters while peach is pickled in dark-toasted oak. Pepper, cedar, ginger, and a sprinkle of nutmeg with masking balsamic. Grippy citrus shocks electrically, initially, calming in subsequent revisits. Intense lemon, white pepper, unsweetened cranberry sourness, grapefruit pith, pickled peach-ripe kumquat combo, orange peel, lemon peel, and lime juice with the rounding influence of the oak smoothing the sharpest citrus crystals into a smooth and zesty, balanced and zippy, grand finale. Not for the faint of tart. — 7 years ago
On the nose; grassy & herbal notes but lighter than the others in the area. Just a touch of cat pee, green bean, white citrus; grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple with yellow & white spring flowers.
The body is leaner & beautiful. The mouthfeel is; creamy delicate, fresh and ripe. Grassy & herbal notes but lighter than the others we’ve had in Casablanca. White citrus; grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, pineapple, green bean, very fine powdery, chalky minerality with yellow & white spring flowers. Very nice round acidity, and a beautiful, elegant polished finish. Really nice and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc that is well priced.
Photos of; the view of the Andes Mountains out of their entrance, a very old press that decorated their entrance, the concrete eggs that are used to ferment part of this Sauvignon Blanc and the view of their Viña from the parking lot. — 8 years ago
