Don't tend to find a lot of new world Sangiovese that I like but this I do. Leather and cherry. Fennel. Orange cake. Subtle oak work. Nuts. Touch meaty. Has a touch of old world about it. Leathery tannins. Nice, unadorned acid profile. Authoritative on the palate. Lengthy. — 8 years ago

A label new to me I bought at a Downs Club tasting. A little funk on the nose with almonds and under ripe stone fruit. Impressive if not a little light on the palate with the nose carrying through on to the palate. On the 2nd day this had filled out finishing with a saline minerality. Medium plus intensity and length. Proves once again that the Adelaide Hills is an exceptional area for Chardonnay - think Shaw and Smith M3 Chardonnay. — 2 years ago
