2014 Vintage.Took to Osteria Al Mare in Monterey at the breakwater where it paired well with short ribs on polenta and mushroom truffle tagliatelle. Wine continued to get better as we took half the bottle back to the room to enjoy. — 4 years ago

Sfida altamente affascinante per un degustatore che si trova al cospetto di un'interpretazione che non teme note ossidative, carbonica e astringenza (in un bianco). Componenti naso/bocca - il vino vede unicamente cemento e vetro - che si integrano in armonia con tutta una serie di elementi per dar vita a una complessità straordinaria. Melone giallo, pompelmo, biscotto con impasto di mandorle, fichi secchi, note salmastre, coriandolo e un mare di erbe aromatiche, per un sorso intenso, altamente trascinante, di coinvolgente energia acido/sapida e che termina in un lungo finale dal sapore amarognolo, fresco di mentuccia e di stimolante salivazione.
