Three Valleys Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend 2021

Blend of 65% Zinfandel, 26% Petite Sirah, 5% Syrah & 4% Alicante Bouschet. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with pepper, cacao, spice and smoky oak. Well balanced, fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, smoke and spice. Will age. — 5 days ago

This wine is the blend of the 3 clones. Another step up. This one tastes and feels a lot like a Barolo or Barbaresco. Outstanding! — 2 months ago

Misty Gulch Vineyard Chardonnay

One of my favorites of my recent Santa Cruz visit. So reductive but bright. Zippy and addictive, I kept coming back for more. — 8 months ago

Three Valleys Pinot Noir 2020

Essence of strawberry and rasberry with notes of sandalwood and spice. Very Giant Steps but with a bit more tannin. Not great p/q. Stick to your amazing shiraz boys! — 2 years ago

Kirchspiel Großes Gewächs Riesling 2015

A touch of talc on the nose - a note of pineapple juice, peach and slatey mineral. German dry Riesling like this one can still be reasonably sweet. An excellent Riesling as you would expect for a GG but top quality Australian Riesling from the Clare or Eden Valleys represent better value for money IMO. — 14 days ago

I know it is expensive, but i reckon very few Oz riesling can get the complexity these wines have. Yes, they drink marvellously, but they lack the details German riesling have. You pay the marketing at the moment as well; 20+ years ago there were amazing German Riesling at the same price of the Oz ones. Obviously if you were in Europe. After the Chinese market started to buy Bordeaux first and Burgundy and Germany after everything has gone up.
Not the big names anymore, but if you travel here and there in Germany or Austria you can still get fantastic deals.
