From Crete. Ate with oxtail soup. Delicious — 2 years ago
Delicious rustic red from Santorini, bright notes of citrus peel and pomegranate. Paired well with our lamb pasta at Sachet, definitely a food wine. Before food arrived, our guests implied there was too much acid for their taste, but not for me. This one needs some air before opening up. Would be very difficult to identify blind, very few reds with this profile. — 8 years ago
Very good wine. rich, round taste, crisp acidity with aromas of flowers and red fruits — 10 years ago
Dry and tight. Definitely needs to age. Vanilla. Had this before in Chicago apparently - either found it or brought it back from Greece? Enjoyed this one at the source - Sigalas winery. — 12 days ago
Primary Mandillaria with a small amount of Mavrotragano blended in. Quite aromatic with notes or red berries and plums, leather and sweet Asian spices. Flavors of red cherry, cranberry, black pepper, smoky minerals, dried herbs and tobacco. Slightly earthy/spicy touch on the medium-plus and smooth finish. Light bodied, acidic, bone dry and crisp. Soft texture and can handle being chilled. — 2 years ago
Nose: dark cherries, black berries, dark plums, all ripe; dried cherry, prune, chocolate. High acidity, full bodied, high alcohol, bold tannins, same taste as nose with peppercorn and nutmeg. Long finish. — 7 years ago
very much a favourite. Fat and full solid smooth wine. nice fruity start notes and mild spice afternotes — 10 years ago
Tinos wine is amazing. Avgoustiatis (80%) and Mavrotragano (20%). Pale pink. Super crisp. Light hints on strawberry and cherry. Enjoyed at Rakizio in Tinos. — a month ago
