Lovely round and fine perlage. Awesome to drink now — 6 years ago
Great amarone. Classic, but a modernized version. Super complex, and multi-layered. Does not feel so overpowering, as some other amarone. It drank easier, without sacrificing the body. — 8 years ago

Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 2 years ago
Spezie moltissimo pepe. Tannico. Molto. Manca di freschezza e sapidità. Molto secco. Profumo intenso di spezie. Lo trovo particolarmente intenso di spezie e manca un po' di frutto. Cmq ottimo ! Carnale e ferrico. — 5 years ago
Smoked sausage, old lady perfume, leather, cocoa, wet clay, decaying underbrush, blood, red meat, dried red berries, jammy dark fruit.

The nose on this reminds me of a specific wine I had (and sold) long ago. A 1983 Gewurz but damn I can’t remember the producer. (It will come to me.) So richly pungent with lychee and deep florals. Very full and, for a Gewurz, dry in the mouth. Nice acids too. Very impressed. — a year ago
Found this at machete. We asked for a robust red with a smooth finish and he brought out two choices. Both were good this was the best: — 5 years ago
Loved it. Buy again. — 5 years ago
Slight grassiness but a lot more melon and honey character. Felt more like a french Pinot Gris, but was much welcomed. So easy to drink on its own, but paired nicely with light vegetarian food as well. — 6 years ago
Nice flavor ~ transparent wine red, oak, raspberry, not too much sweet. Plum and sour taste. Interesting, 8.95 @1680, Expo, Selco - XH, 181117-190330 — 8 years ago

Strong acidic backbone, fresh and bright nose, worked well with the food at Contatto, might be too dominant on its own. — 2 months ago
