The riserva in this vintage is the better way to go v the Chianti Classico. More expression and the tannins have mellowed, just like a good riserva should work. If you ever get a chance to go to Volpaia, I highly recommend it. Easy point between Florence and Siena and you can stay with Guido and Martina at La Locanda. — 6 years ago

Garnatxa Blanca, Pansal & Pedro Ximenez blend. Hazelnut, yellow apple, white peach, gravelly minerals, flint. Nice acidity and finish. After decant for a time, oxidative nuttiness and dried fruits emerge. — 10 years ago
