Domaine Le Roc Des Anges

L'Oca Vin de Pays des Pyrénees-Orientales Macabeo 2019

Old vines. Medium yellow with a greenish tint. Nose of white fruit, melon and a sea breeze. Palate adds a floral note. Acid skeleton really sets off the fruit. Long finish. Not at all what I expected given its origin. — 2 years ago

Château des Mille Anges

Premières Côtes de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

From Haskell’s box. Our first red Bordeaux, from Cadillac AOC Bordeaux region, which is right bank. Website says 60% Merlot 20% cab 20% Franc. Seemed a bit thin vs New World Cabs, but had softened tannins, dark fruit, early tawny color. will compare to other Merlots and to left bank claret later. D liked. W said ok. — 3 months ago

Le Jardin des Anges Engelgarten Cru d'Alsace Riesling Blend 2011

Deep gold in color. Apricot cobbler, ginger, ripe peach, and petrol on the nose. The palate presents apricot liquor, flint, orange liqueur, white pepper, ginger, cinnamon, clove, dried stone fruit, and lemon. Medium bodied, medium alcohol, medium acid, and a long complex finish. This wine is at its prime at 13 years old. A fascinating wine. — 5 months ago

Château Léoville-Las Cases

La Petite Marquise du Clos du Marquis Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Château Léoville Las Cases ‘La Petite Marquise’ Saint-Julien 2018: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high acidity. Noticeable tannins that mellowed out over time. Deep purple in color. Tasting notes of blackberry, plum, strawberry, cedar & oak. Smooth warm finish. All in all, a rich & delicious Saint-Julien wine however very worthy of additional years of cellaring. Be well wine friends! Cheers 🇫🇷🍷 — 2 years ago
