Greco Bianco

Deep gold, weighty flavors but crisp acidity and well balanced alcohol, leads with intense ripe yellow apples and tropical fruits with other fruit and spice to round out a complex palate — 6 years ago

Rosa Spina Rosato Calabria Gaglioppo

100% Gaglioppo from Calabria, what a wonderful rosé. It has a Nebbiolo rose appearance. Red cherry on the nose. Bright crisp minerality. Soft florals on the palate with ripe red fruits. — 9 years ago

Palizzi Calabria Red Blend 2012

An impressive red from Calabria, especially for the price (under $20). Aromas of soy sauce, Vegemite, primarily, accenting blackberry-like fruit notes, black pepper and chesenurgers. Medium-bodied, with good fruit/acid balance and medium tannins, I enjoyed it with a Porterhouse steak cooked stovetop with garlic and thyme. Fairly developed, so drink it within the next few years if you have it. — 6 years ago

@Spinning_spins Funny you mention vegemite. Is that getting a wider distribution in the States? Our iconic breakfast spread in Australia 🇦🇺.

@Bob McDonald Yes, I think Vegemite and Marmite have both become somewhat more prevalent, at least here in California. A little bit on toast is nice for breakfast. Cheers! 🍞🍳☕
