Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of tart red berry fruit, fresh herbs and funky roasted vegetables. Red fruit (cranberry, cherry, raspberry and pomegranate) on the palate with additional flavors of black tea, black pepper and those roasted vegetables. Note of wet stones and minerals on the very oaky finish. Chewy tannins and high acidity which actually balance themselves pretty well. Interesting. Nice mild white wine with a lemon finish. This wine is good with mild fish because it has little flavor to start and lemon and salt to finish, so it will not overwhelm the fish. A good buy and an interesting and rare grape. — 2 years ago
