Máté

Mania Montalcino Cabernet Sauvignon

Nice to try a 100% Cabinet Sauvignon. Very pleasant drinking but nothing on the nose which I like. Well done Máté, not easy to make a good pure Cabernet Sauvignon wine. I enjoyed this a lot. — 12 years ago

Máté

Montalcino Cabernet Sauvignon

This 2006 is holding strong. Dark black fruit, leather, beautiful earthy components with nicely integrated acidity. 06 was a 5* Brunello vintage and this Cab is right there too. — 6 years ago

Máté

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

We aged this about 10yrs. Amazing powerful wine with deep smoke, leather, and dark dried fruit. Mellowed a lot with time and drank easy on its own, but paired well with a robust pasta sauce — 6 years ago

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese

Davis Anderson
9.0

1st had this in Tuscany about 5 years ago. This is everything I love about Rosso. Sour cherry, pomegranate. Mild but of leather. Bright, but still rich. Great stuff. Drinking well now (2010 vintage), could easily go 5 more years down the road. — 11 years ago
