Rendezvous Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

This was one of those moments when you taste something clearly a cut above. I opened this for Father’s Day and was not disappointed… Aging wonderfully, the Merlot and Cab Sauv driven cigarette boat has plenty of fuel left in the tank. Deeply concentrated, the core of dark cherry is layered with exotic spices and forrest botany. Plenty of mountain to get lost on ;) — 4 days ago

Cabernet Franc 2012

Sooo delightful! This vintage was a blend of three lots… Combined they made a nuanced Northern Italian/burgundy-esk Franc that really speaks to Mark’s skill and the potential of classic vintages (weather) in VA. When it’s not too hot, the acids can stay in balance. This can lead to producing real aromaticly complex Francs. To put in context, we pair this with beautifully prepared salmon. Glad I still have one more bottle! — 2 months ago

New World Red Marjani Famiy Vineyards Red Blend 2015

This juicy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from California and Cabernet Franc from Virginia shows the legacy of the Mariani in viticulture is a deep rooted one. Lush ripe, juicy black fruit shows a full body, plush structure and juicy acidity exploding with black cherry, hints of cigar box, Sweet tobacco, blackberries and a brush of black pepper on the smooth soft finish. — 8 days ago

Estate Club Select Petit Manseng 2013

Nate knocked it out of the park...aging beautifully at 4+ years from harvest. Such clarity of fruit and balance of acidity and mouthfeel! Paired perfectly with our Indian dishes. If I remember, this had less than 1% RS. It is nowhere near a sweet, sugar bomb! — 2 months ago
