Visiting Paris i fell into this marvellous wine shop called Lavinia
Got recommended a few wines and this is my first
Lovely all the way
I like the fact that the Beaujolais area gifts us with this gems full of fun, not cerebral, but rather extremely enjoyable
It had a good length
Price was more than reasonable

Yes Lavinia was great indeed
It was a bit lucky how i got there
I was around the Arc de Triomphe(with my whole family, kids included)and had a feeling that this Lavinia wine shop was close by, so i looked it up and so it was.
Though i was there perhaps nearly 20 years ago and had a memory of a modern, shiny and honestly a slightly cold shop that had an impressive selection of wine. But instead yesterday i found a very cosy shop with extremely friendly people working there. They had moved some years ago from the area near the Magdalene to where they are now
Unfortunately i did not get the chance to stop and drink, which was my wife's first thought when we left.
Were u there before or after they moved?
Given the fact they still have an extensive and amazing choice and i too would recommend anyone to stop there

Glou glou. Special bottling made for the Lavinia group. Reckon it's Corcelette fruit. Tasting it seems to substantiate this claim - doesn't have the concentration and density of the Cote du Py. Bottle destroyed in minutes, so maybe it didn't have time to bare it all. — 6 years ago
