Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vegetables, graphites, spices, bitter herbs, wet leaves, vanilla, licorice and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, oak, cloves, earth, dark coffee, vegetables, graphites, bell pepper, spices, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Bonarda blend from Argentina is always enjoyable. Earthy with enough black fruits to be able to enjoy by itself. A good food wine too.
Showing nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle and gets earthier as it opens up. This vintage does not seem to show a lot of tannins, for some reason. Maybe because there is more Bonarda than in other vintages.
Needs 2 years to mature properly.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 60% Bonarda and 40% Malbec.
13.5% alcohol by volume (feels like more).

Vintage 2010 Liver saucage in smell. Cherries. Choco. Ash. Distinguished taste. Not a very clear Malbec character. Medium acidity. / Second day the Malbec typicity was much more obvious with lovely chocolate smell and a velvety taste. Paired it with ribeye and bearnaise sauce. — 3 days ago
Notes of blackberry and currants. Not as tannic as a cab usually is but is still has decent acidity and a very pleasant mouthfeel. Finish leaves notes of vanilla and caramel. Very nice boxed wine. — 9 days ago
Nice fruit - not too oaky - not overly heavy, but just the right viscosity that I like in a Chardonnay. And great value as well! — a day ago
Really enjoyable wine with a good smoothness. Lots of cherry and a hint of liquorice on the nose. Decanted and paired really well with a chicken tikka biryani. Berry, hint of spice and plum. — 3 days ago
