KNA Wines Pella Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Napa Valley, California
Very dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, toast, licorice, chocolates, raisins, dried figs and Indian spices.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, vanilla, espresso, cola, light herbs, spices, light earth, chocolates and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 18 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford is drinking wonderfully now. Delicious and entertaining. Complex and well balanced.
I had this vintage 2 years ago, and it is drinking better now. Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours in the decanter. Good by itself as a sipping wine, and would also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 2 years. A tiny production of only 600 bottles made.
