Tried 2013 vintage in a restaurant priced $60 (keystone the price). Nice bottle with a good balance of several varieties Cab, merlot & PV. Hints of cherry, bit of cocoa and soft tannins. Could use a few more years to mellow out but overall very drinkable now. Fine addition to the Stags Leap collection — 10 years ago

Nice American oak (hence the name Keystone) and rich full experience from start to finish. Deep dark fruits on the nose and a long finish. Alta Colina really does this right. — 8 years ago
A hint of slight currant, dampened only by age, and still producing its keystone ruby color. — 9 years ago
Dark, powerful 2013 Syrah from Carneros, CA and bottled by Firehouse Wine Cellars in Rapid City, South Dakota. I bought this in Keystone at a cafe/wine bar (best of both worlds). Striking aromas of oak and peppers. Heavy, chewy tannins with berries, dark chocolate and floral undertones upon the first few sips. This is a wine that grabs hold of you and lingers on the palate with a distinct taste of blueberries. Savor this bold Syrah with steak or another hearty meal. In addition, there is a sweetness that could pair well with a dark chocolate cake. A surprising wine that brought a smile to my face. — 10 years ago
Pretty much textbook, classic, benchmark, keystone, (insert your own word for damn right). Dried out, ripe red fruits? Check. American oak? Hmm, coconut, dill, sweet and sour, and vanilla extract, so yes. Baked clay? Uh huh. Long, lingering and tart finish? Damn right. Sexy as all hell? Well I'll leave that up to the drinker... — 11 years ago
