Purchased this based on a write up by my local wine shop. Cabernet Sauvignon is my go-to wine. This wine is not. I don’t mind cheap table wine. Sometimes I really enjoy it. This is not that.

First pour is dark blood red.

Tangy fruits with heavy earthiness. Cranberries & currants. Perhaps a touch of licorice. Goes well with a spicy bag of nuts.

Second pour is often better, as it brings out the flavors and aromas. Instead, I taste the same berries and tangy fruits, but then the added mouth of rubber tires and old leather. Nothing seems to blend. I reached for a red truck, but received an old dirty truck that just won’t start.

Initial aromas of grass & minerals. Crisp & fresh splash upon the palate. Citrusy, flowery, with hints of peach, apricot, & limestone. Great for price.

I’ve waited years to open this. It was well worth the wait. Rich with fruity black cherry, currants, plum and smokey oak, coffee and chocolates. In addition, there is a lovely hint of citrus (perhaps, a sweet residue of liqueur from the French Oak barrels). Perfect celebration in a time of uncertainty.

Not bad. I highly recommend opening and letting it breathe for an extended period of time. The more time it had, the better it was. Dark, rich plums, deep soil & earthy texture. A great wine with a hearty meal or on a cold night. — 7 years ago

This was gifted me, as I’m a displaced Oregonian. My first glass was fruity & tart. I gave it a day or two and had another glass. With time to air out, it provided a plummy earthy fragrance. The first sips had a dry fruity taste of dark cherries, plums, and sweet grapes. Smooth tannins & fresh northwestern soils. I usually like a touch of pepper or a strong spicy kick of excitement from my cabs (without the tartness), but this was pleasant & refreshing. — 6 years ago

Soft on the palate. There is a woodsy, grassy taste. Light fruits, spices, and subtle leathery flavor. Drinkable and appropriate for the price. — 7 years ago
