A total knockout from Kane, the Retractable SKEG is brewed with Pilsner, American two-row, malted oats, red wheat, and low crystal. It was hopped with El Dorado in the whirlpool and then dry-hopped with a combination of Galaxy, Citra, El Dorado, Sabro and Mosaic Cryo. Displaying an awesome orange-hued opaque haziness, this stunner offers up intoxicating aromas of fresh tropical fruits and citrus zest with a kick of habanero spice. Well balanced, showing amazing freshness with a nice rich texture backed by a mouth watering juicy core that leaves you wanting more. The Retractable SKEG is nothing sort of mezmerizing. — 5 years ago
Rich fragrant nose with sense of smoke and wool. Shock of sweetness with shearing acid on palate, salinity and complexity. Long evolving finish. What an interesting Chenin with some age on it. JL tasting. Bought 3 at $28. Great deal. Rosenthal wine presented by Mike Kane who loves to talk. — 8 years ago

Bright raspberry and strawberry. Light but surprisingly long finish. Evolved into rich earthiness. Definitely open for 30 mins first. Drank with Kane, etc. — 5 years ago

The First Reef is a spectacular release from Kane. Brewed with Pilsner and Honey malts and wheat and oats. It’s hopped with Simcoe in the kettle and dry hopped with Citra, Cascade, Simcoe, and Galaxy. It displays a gorgeous opaque orange-yellow haziness. The aromatics are stunning, showing dried herbs, orange zest and floral blossom nuances that take shape upfront. It has a delicious fresh juicy core with a wonderful medium-full creamy texture. An excellent IPA that is a must have for the summer. — 5 years ago
