3 Years Snow Aged Junmai Ginjo Sake

I’m a fan of this although it is from a large brewer that some say is industrial. Really nice and certainly on the heavier/bolder side of the house. They said grilled meats - don’t doubt this work. I had it with a tuna course. — 2 days ago

Tilts more towards a traditional IPA with slightly bitter hops, but quite punchy and refreshing - Buddha-Bar NYC. — 3 years ago

Lovely Daiginjo florality. Light umami/soy components peeking through but it doesn't scream "old sake". — a month ago

Kowakura Shikomi Junmai Daiginjo Saké

It might have been the ambiance/glass/carafe they used to decant that has me giving this a higher rating than others but I think it’s accurate. Right out of the bottle it’s light, crisp and clean. As it opens and warms the flavors come out. I’d call it a light, sweet melon but if you told me it was an apple/pear sweetness I’d be hard pressed to disagree. Great bottle. Honjozo Sake 2020

Very versatile, great chilled and at room temperature but really opens up when warmed. Have fun with this one. — 3 years ago
