An excellent Caymus wine if you want to ball on a budget. — 5 years ago
A very complete nose of brioche, citrus and apple pie. In the mouth air is needed to really give this a chance to strut its stuff. Prominent but not overwhelming acid at first but an hour of air makes this as round as a beach ball. The palate starts to duplicate the nose with an hour or so of time. Another positive ‘08 champagne ,with upside from here. — 5 years ago
Mineral with a hint of bubble gum on the nose. Very bright and crisp on the front with a nice, dry citrus finish. — 6 years ago
Friend house warming. Recent discovery of cabernet blend in beechworth is pretty good. Vanilla and chalky mineral. Abit of white paper feel. there is also some blue fruit and floral taste like pomerol. Quite smooth and elegant but still got some background bitter taste. Plum sweet — 4 years ago
Nice Wednesday keto bottle, with some pesto topped barramundi
K&L notes,
This Champagne is composed of juice from all old vine Grand Cru grapes on property that used to belong to Krug right in the Cotes de Blanc… so you know they’re working with great land and great fruit. The nose is earthy, almost a little sandy toned, but there’s also good fresh fruit here with scents of citrus peel and Golden Delicious apples. The mouthfeel is soft and supple with a great apple/pear balance that becomes more intense in fruitiness and even borders on tropical flavors before coming to a gradual vanilla finish. — 5 years ago

Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
I cannot take the credit, that’s the tasting notes from K&L winesSomehow whenever I know that I am drinking a wine to young I see @David T scolding me! I do highly respect his insights and the plan was to wait three more years!
But the realization that I was going to need to sacrifice a bottle; that I can Hopefully replace came late this afternoon.
Most likely we are going to be saying goodbye to our hyperthyroidism kitty " Patience" tomorrow. It has been a long battle and she would have turned 15 July 31st. So some self medicating is warranted! 😓.
Although this wine is delicious even young! Ripe Bing Cherries...licorice...bubble gum..tea leaves and moist forest floor! Delicious wine! I will try to obtain another bottle and let it age longer! — 6 years ago
Blind Date wine! Blind tasting notes: "Bright ruby red, candied red fruits, jolly rancher and bubble gum. Low acid, low tannin, slightly effervescent. The food pairing suggestion makes us think Italy, but the fruitiness and low acid and tannin makes us think Not Italy." Soooo tasty with a BLT and pasta salad with tomato and basil. — 5 years ago

Suggested at Grand Cata on 11/29/2024 when I asked for Ribera sacra bzw. Galicia. $30. L noted Chambers had shipped same wine! Likely natural then, though lacking that liveliness. Drank 11/30/2024. Ash, bubble gum on nose. Puckett tannins will likely settle down with time and warmth. Black fruit, violets, gravel/slate. Long strong finish lingers. — a year ago
