Sweet but balanced, lots of flavor, I’m getting honeydew. Wonderfully smooth. — 3 years ago
Haut-Bailly Dinner in SF with Veronique Sanders of Haut-Bailly.
The 2010 is an excellent vintage but, it is for the later part of your life or your children.
This is drinking beautifully with a 4 hour decant. The structure & tension are just starting to their softening stage. The length and balance are in the forget about it range and will just get better & better. Ripe, stunning fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, plum & a touch of blue fruits. Moist clay & top soils, stones, mint, graphite, fresh tobacco, dark cola, anise to black licorice with stunning, withering floral bouquet. Acidity is perfect. The finish is everything you want in a Bordeaux.
Definitely a 99-100 point wine in 15 years plus.
Served with the Cheese Plate; Red Hawk, Hop Along & Roquefort. @Mathilde French Bistro

Very very tasty, not at all funky. A great wine to introduce people to orange wine. — 4 years ago
A new tasting experience on several levels. Had never heard of or tasted this grape varietal, Schioppettino. I was looking for a lighter red off the menu at Settimo, Guy Grossi’s new Brisbane venture. Chosen purely because of its location in Friuli ie. cooler climate. The Somm was in the dark but the wine ended up being a revelation. Red cherry and cranberry - intense white pepper on nose and palate. Dried red florals. Love this style. Will be on the lookout for this Cuvée in the future. — 5 months ago
2017. I enjoyed a rosé with the first courses of Succotash’s tasting menu the last time I was here and this one went great as well! — 4 years ago
This is an amazing Chablis from Ravenau. Can’t find in the system the new restaurant by Helene Darroze, Marsan. We had her tasting menu with many sea products. This Chablis has at times the mineral and acid elements but also the nutty and decadent aspects of great Chardonnay in top notch terroir. This is an experience to have at least once. Enthusiastically recommended ! — 5 years ago
