Gerardo Wine!
It's a balanced blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon but it also has excellent notes of Petite Sirah, Barbera and Zinfandel making it round in every way. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! (I had a 2010) — 11 years ago
Albariño from Gerardo Espinosa in Lodi 13.4 ABV — 13 years ago
one of the more impressive wines i've had from ARG - deep dark golden color, looked slightly oxidized, and a bouquet that vacillated from honeyed florals, to mineral, to exotic perfumed spice, musky, brooding, ripe citrus then orchard fruit - just so multi-layered & oh so engaging, the palate was a bit more focused - solid mid weight w/firm acidic backbone leading to lingering tangy salty finish. can't recall having a Chenin like this - felt like extended skin contact and long lees treatment. — 5 months ago
Vivid moderately saturated ruby. Fresh scents of black cherry, strawberry, mocha and flowers. Then extremely clean and fresh on the palate, with a youthful, musclebound quality but also very precise concentrated red fruit and violet flavors. Finishes long with smooth tannins and outstanding balance. I can’t even begin to remember the last time I have had a Gutturnio so devoid of green streaks and so much fun to drink. Well done. A blend of 55% Barbera and 45% Croatina from vines planted in 1977; spends twelve months in large oak barrels and barriques. The label says 14% alcohol, but it tasted like it had fewer octanes than that to me. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, Jan 2018)

A nice Albariño, grapes from the Contado do Tea subzone and the Salnes subzone, aged on lees for about 9 months, pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate pronounced flavors of melon and lemon with hints of toasty notes from lees aging. Long finish, vivid acidity, ending with fruit and smoky character. Will age well. — 10 months ago

Crunchy red cherries and berry fruit, crushed violet. Tastes like mencia or gamay. Points for being fun. #NewArgentina — 10 years ago
