Colli senesi Chianti is probably the most underrated old world style wine on the planet. The nose is bacon fat, mixed with sopressata. The palate is smooth and drinkable. Perfect food pairing. The nose is the incredible part though. Wow. — 10 years ago

Riserva Dei Padre Serviti 2016. Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, leather; on the palate, cherry, plum, leather, oak. Strong tannins. Finish of cherry and vanilla. The more it opened up the more balanced it became. Notes of anise and florals presented. Tannins calmed. Much more balanced, full bodied. Quite powerful. — 4 years ago
